What is the Political Courage Test?

Presidential Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I emphatically support it. Particularly in the case of partial birth abortion. Life begins at conception. Historians of future generations will look back on this murder of 50 million babies as as dark a stain on the American character as we now look upon slavery as a stain of an earlier time.

medicare spending should be reduced by allowing more of a free market approach to health care expenditures.
Those receiving welfare should be turned into workers. Food stamps should be handled by a private contractor audited regularly to reduce the massive fraud not inherent in the program as evidenced by a doubling of cost to around fifteen billion dollars.
Eliminate the income tax and replace it with a national sales tax.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
There should be no regulation of any campaign contributions. It is free speech. Only disclosure in a certain defined way.
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
Yes Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
I support providing tax incentives to business for the purpose of job creation only as a way to further reduce taxes. Spending on infrastructure projects only if the project and its cost is clearly defined and disclosed to the public which in general approves the project.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
The federal government should completely eliminate its role in education, leaving the responsibility completely to the states.
Yes Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
No one knows whether human activity contributes to climate change or not as the information on which this judgement was based was submitted by policy makers and scientists pressured to one point of view. Even if human activity contributed to it it is foolish to destroy the world's economy to reduce the temperature 1-2 %. A better solution--if there is a problem--is to focus the world's OBJECTIVE scientists on using technology to solve the problem over time. With a collapsed world economy this would not be an option.
Yes Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
No Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
Military leaders in the theaters should decide when and how many to withdraw. A residual force should remain to make certain that the investment in the treasure of Americans and the blood of America's finest are not wasted by a President's political calculation
No Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
Health care in America is expensive because the consumer does not purchase the product. In the case of employers the insurance company purchases; in the case of the medicare the government purchases. Changing this involves a free market approach such as health savings account, purchasing insurance accross state lines and allowing the self employed the same tax situation as large employers and other as yet not discovered means of creating competion.
Yes Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
The first step before any other should be to secure to border. AFTER THAT a bio metric ID should be used to identify all illegals within two years. Those without an ID at that time or those who are criminals or diseased should be immediately deported. Those with an ID should be allowed to remain and receive government services without becoming citizens. State and local police could enforce. After a period of time when they have learned the language and become assimilated their status could be revisited.
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
This is the best solution to Social Security's funding problem.
Eliminating Obamacare immediately and shrinking the size of government by eliminating departments, reducing govenment workers and streamling systems. Eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat and implementing the use of a developed profile of a terrorist to better protect Americans at home. Over time engendering a business mindset in our federal employees in doing their work while treating each citizen as a customer of the government.
